I read an article today that (almost) knocked me of my chair. Today, weblog owners are almost forced to implement or install an anti-spam feature on their weblog as a lot of those personal diaries are getting lots of spam comments.
In the past you had to review each comment and approve it or delete existing spam messages. Those with a weblog that’s moveable type powered, are lucky. Jay Allen has developed a plugin that works with regular expressions and a blacklist of hosts to automatically remove all messages considered to be spam.
